Announcing a new venue for my work: the Chico Paper Co. The photo shows the display of my work at the Chico Paper Co., a new gallery for me, yet one long established in the Northern California artworld. It's a good fit for my abstractions from nature work with waterscapes and abstracted floral paintings as subjects, and abstracts. I'm really pleased to announce this news. The vignette of my work in the photo is located near the front (April, 2017) , near the entry on the gallery side. The Chico Paper Co. is half gallery / half professional framer, and that's a convenient arrangement! It's truly awesome, a joy to have my artwork in such capable hands.
Offered by the gallery is a range of artwork: paintings, prints, fine craft in jewelry, ceramics and furniture. . . all of which I'm crazy about. It'll be dangerous and difficult to resist my impulsive art buying when I'm visiting. The eclectic display is appealing to me; it's more salon style in how the work is displayed, an approachable way to show art. Kind of perfectly fits my tastes: eclectic.
The Chico Paper Co. is open 7 days a week, located in the downtown (across from the City Plaza, or across the street from the National Yo-Yo Museum.) The gallery is long established and was begun by a collector of maps and prints, then evolved to a gallery / frame shop. I've kept my eye on the gallery since I began showing my art and was so pleased to receive the news when I was invited to bring in my paintings. If you visit Chico now in springtime in the flush of spring blooms and waterfalls, I hope you'll stop in, visit and say hello to the friendly staff.
